BSA 131 (Digital Filmmaking I) Week 8 : "TWISK" Shoot Day #1
We started shooting Izaiah Painting's music video for the song "Twisk" by Tim Balme this week. As AD my duties were mainly organisational - the AD would be the producers representative on set. Because of this I made sure that the organisation was good, helping the director to organise some things for the day of the shoot. Thankfully people were very helpful, there were some locations we wanted to shoot at that required permission and people were quick to give it.
On set I didn't have that much to do so I took on a BTS role as the grips had everything under control. The most I did on set was talk to members of the public and employees of the business we were shooting in front of.
It was a very good shoot, it ran efficiently and everyone had a great time. It's exciting now that we are starting to shoot our own projects, the creativeness is much more fun and out involvement is more substantial.
Dillon was a very effective grip, the dolly worked very well and was surprisingly easy to use and we got some awesome shots in an alleyway - and of course we all wore out hi-viz vests in public.
Great shots! Thanks,
