Final Reflection BSA 101 (Intro to Film) Week 17

My results for the multi-choice examination were not very satisfactory and I think I can attribute my failure, at least somewhat, to the way in which I approached my blogs. For me the blogs were not only more fun, but more interesting when I was sharing my personal experiences from the course and how I felt about it. For me the most enjoyable blogs were from Weeks 4 and 6, where I shared what we did in class, what we learned and how we improved. And what we learned for me was never as much about the theory side of things, it was much more about the practical side. Compare that to my Shot Style blog or Storyboard blog, neither of which I particularly enjoyed making, it felt much more like a chore than a way to record my thoughts. With those entries I actually derived more enjoyment from creating the thumbnails than the writing side of things.

In hindsight this approach was obviously not the best way to go about it, I knew that the blogs were meant as a way to prepare us for the tests and was supposed to function as a record of what we'd learned, this stood out even more to me upon doing the multi choice examination. I remember clearly thinking that I should have done a better job with this blog as I sat down to write the test.

Other than that I think I learned a lot from this paper, even if most of that learning came from making mistakes. I look forward to the next film-making paper, wherein I can apply all of the skills I have acquired here.
