Editing to Storyboards BSA 105 (Editing) Week 3
Editing to Storyboards
This week we learned about using storyboards to cut a movie from the raw footage that we logged last week. We were given the storyboards for Admit One and tasked with producing a first assembly edit.
Above is an example of the storyboards we were given, we had to find the appropriate clips and edit them together into a sequence that represented what the storyboards were trying to communicate.
The first assembly edit was very easy to put together when compared to logging the raw footage - a process that was immensely tedious. The logging did however help a lot once I came around to the first assembly edit, clips were easy to find and the log notes made the decision making process more efficient.
